Judging by the footage we've seen this week, it looks like there are new atmospheric pieces by Inon Zur too, not only orchestral music. They do not sound too bad actually !
Yeah, I hope Inon Zur sticks to his Fallout Tactics style more than the generic shit that was in Fallout 3.
One would assume that Osidian is specifying what they want. I don't see why they would try to go back to Fallout's roots everywhere else except for the music and still keep that bland orchestral crap.

Bethesda's the publisher so they may have pushed them down the epic orchestral path or Obsidian might just have decided to take the lead from Fallout 3 there. I wouldn't be making any wagers.

While I have to admit, my memory is hazy and it's been a fair while since I played Fallout 3, I didn't think the atmospheric music was too bad. I'd actually say I enjoyed some of it. Hell, I didn't mind the songs coming through the pipboy, but it was the radio DJ's just irritated me to no end, and a few unfortunate 'epic' score decisions that just seemed a bit jarring.

I'm hoping that bringing in some of Mark's work will hopefully inspire the general score in a certain direction for NV. Sway it round a bit more to the 'old' ways. As for radio stations, I think they're a great idea. Power being restored to radio stations who's DJ's have long since perished, the emergency automated playlist kicking into effect. Just as long as it's optional, I ain't bothered :)
