Sears Tower Threat

As many of you don't know, I'm currently working in Chicago's Sears Tower (on Summer/Winter breaks since last year). Well, today is turning out to be interesting. Apparently there was some plot to bomb me....and the building in which I work:

But what's the atmosphere like here for the employees? Is there panic? Perhaps to your surprise, it's been a morning filled with sarcasm and black humor. Since I walked into the office it's been a flood of one liners:

"You wearing that shirt for your last day on Earth?"
"Good thing I brought my parachute"
"Don't forget to grab those office chairs when we get evacuated"
"Hey Everybody, Anderson Cooper is downstairs!"
On Phone: "Hey guys...um....I think I'll work from home today"
*trader humor* "Yeah, and as soon as I evacuate, someone buys a hundred futures. I'm staying right here."

And of course, everyone was turning on the TV to watch all the "Terror threat" and "Are We Safe" headlines.

But hey, the day isn't over yet... :look:

I hope you'll miss me if I go down.

We'll miss you if you go down.

Good luck and hey, remember if you find a clock tied to explosives and a clock that is counting down to 0, it's almost never the red wire.

I thought it was almost never the blue wire. Isn't blue the colour that crosses your mind first when someone asks you to say a colour? A smart terrorist would think of that, and pick another colour, like red. That is, assuming he's smart. He probably is if he can build a bomb. But then again, maybe he thinks the cops will think that he is smart when trying to defuse the bomb, so he'll pick the blue wire. You can go on to infinity with this.

Everyone knows real bombs dont actually have huge, red digital readouts that show the time or a clock, but if you do find that make sure to set the clock back to give yourself more time. This way instead of just leavning the building you'll have enough time to stop at a PC and post an update here of how you're a hero for doing so.

Sincerely,
The Vault Dweller
