Alrighty, I have been wondering for a while whether or not to upgrade my old standard definition TV, to a HDTV. There have been a few different options for me personally, but it all comes down to cost. I want to spend less that AU$1000, but have a decent TV that supports 1080p (if possible at that price), for as good resolution as I can get.
But, my main question was if there would be any loss in me getting an old CRT TV that is HD capable, with the RGB inputs (HDMI, maybe, but no loss if it's not there). I know that CRT's have a much better refresh rate and colours are more vivid, but I am not sure if it is worth investing in the last of "yesteryear's technology".
I don't care about space, I have plenty of it, but I am not sure whether to fork out the big bucks for a decent LCD, or buy a cheaper CRT, that was top of the line at the time of it's manufacture.
