This whole operation was pointless, anyhow. They had absolutely nothing to do in Iraq. They tried to scare Iran, and in the end they just flared up Muslim fanatism even more and filled the ranks of who knows how many terrorist factions out there. And the excuses they brought up made me laugh. Bring democracy? My ass, you don't do that via a military occupation. Get the oil? Yeah it's not like Saddam sold it to the US already. Oh wait he did. In the end, hundreds of thousands of dead civilians, Arab combattants and thousands of US soldiers casualties later, the country is in an utter mess and a breeding ground for fanatical psychos. Good job.
I am not sure, but i guess USA military expeditions on Iraq and the overthrown of its dictator might have encouraged all other recent uprisings against the dictators in Egypt and Libya. For that inspiration you guys did a loot of good stuff without the need to shoot anyone ... to me that's enough credit to deserve some good home vacations.
I strongly doubt it. An internal revolution and an invasion deposing a dictator are not the same thing. If it was the case, the Arab Spring would have happenned in 2004 or 05, not 2011. While these revolts had many inspirations, I doubt the US military, of all things, was one of them.
